At Launch Industries, we’re passionate about cultivating a learning culture. On our team, we strive to facilitate and enhance each other’s learning so that the work we collectively do is both high-standard and impactful. Our drive to make ongoing learning a core part of the Launch Industries journey means that we see mistakes as chances to grow, to face challenges, and to elevate the work.
What Does it Mean to Reimagine Failure?
Many of us have been conditioned to believe that failure – and the shame that comes with it – is objective, straightforward, and a key driver in determining an individual’s trajectory. For Launch, failure is not an option – it’s an opportunity.
We’re in the business of making workplaces joyful, transformative, and inclusive and we couldn’t do that work for others if we weren’t walking the talk ourselves. When someone on our team makes a mistake or the work product falls short, we’re here to uplift that as a chance to learn more about what works, what doesn’t, and where we can step in to make sure our colleagues are fully supported in their learning.
How Do We Do It?
Our teammates have each other’s best interests at heart. We have each other’s back. If a team member takes a misstep, we offer support to help them correct it. More specifically:
We Train: If a member of the Launch team doesn’t know how to do something or is unfamiliar with software we use, we offer training to make sure they’re up to speed. Training happens across all levels of our company and everyone operates with the understanding that we all learn from each other all the time. We’re in this together!
We Listen: When a team member expresses uncertainty or apprehension about something, we get curious and listen. Oftentimes, curious and thoughtful conversations spark new insights that strengthen and improve everyone’s experience.
We Value Feedback: Feedback tells us whether we’re doing the right things. It can also tell us if there are places where we can improve. At Launch, we strive to have a feedback culture so that everyone on our team can lean into their growth areas and learn throughout the process.
