First of all we want to extend our sympathies to anybody in our community (or has loved ones) who have lost a home, school, belongings, etc in the LA fires. It's been truly devastating seeing how much Angelenos have lost and the fires destruction of such beautiful land and beaches. To anyone who calls the LA area home, our hearts are with you.
It's also been very inspiring to see how the folks of LA have come together to help each other with countless mutual aid sites and to see the brave work of the fire fighters in LA and from all over our country, Mexico, and Canada.
Altadena, one of the neighborhoods devastated by the Eaton fire, has historically been a hub for Black families in Los Angeles County. The link below takes you to a list of GoFundMe campaigns for over 850 Black families that have been impacted. They need help right now - read their stories, donate, and share, share share.
